B Borooah Cancer Institute Recruitment 2019: Walk-in-interview for the following posts to be filled up on a purely temporary or contractual basis under ICMR-NCDIR funded project entitled “Monitoring survey of cancer risk factors and health system response in North East Region (NER)”.
The primary objective of the survey is to generate key cancer and other NCD related risk factors and health system response indicators in all the 12 Population-based cancer registries (PBCRs) of the eight states in the Northeastern region of India. The study will be conducted in selected rural and urban areas of Kamrup, Cachar, Karimganj, Hailakandi and Dima Hasao districts in the state of Assam.

1. Name of the post: Scientific B (Medical)
Number of posts: 1
Educational Qualification: MBBS / BDS / BAMS from a recognized university with one-year research/ teaching experience
Or
BDS / BAMS / B VSC from a recognized university with two years of research/teaching experience
Or
MPH / MD in Community Medicine / Public health from a recognized university.
One-year research experience in community studies. Knowledge of computer applications and data management.
Age limit: 35 years. Age relaxation is admissible as per ICMR Guidelines.
2. Name of the Post: Project Technical Officer (Medical Social Worker / Social Worker / Sr. Investigator)
Number of posts: 2
Educational Qualification: Graduate in Social Work / Sociology / Statistics or equivalent subjects from a recognized university with five years of work experience from a recognized institution in public health / Medical social work or Master’s degree in the above-mentioned subjects. One-year working experience in fieldwork. Knowledge of computer applications and data management.
Age limit: 30 years
3. Name of the post: Project Technician-III(Lab Technician)
Number of posts: 1
Educational Qualification: 12th pass in science subjects and two years diploma in medical laboratory technician or related subject or one year DMLT plus one year in a recognized organization or two years of field/laboratory experience.
- Three years’ degree in Life Sciences
- One-year experience in fieldwork
- Experience in specimen collection (blood) and handling; Knowledge of computer applications and data management.
Age limit: 30 years. Age relaxation is permissible as per ICMR guidelines
4. Name of the post: Project Technician III (Field Worker)
Number of posts: 1
Educational Qualification: 12th pass in science subjects or two years of field. Three years’ degree in Life Sciences. Or one-year experience in fieldwork and Knowledge of computer applications and data management.
Age limit: 30 years. Age relaxation is permissible as per ICMR guidelines.
