Salary: Pay Band-2, Rs.14,000-49,000 and Grade Pay of Rs.5,000/- plus other allowances as admissible under the rules.
Eligibility Criteria of Excise Department Recruitment
Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens, and permanent residents of Assam. Selected candidates must submit Proof of Residence after the publication of the final select list.
Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.
Age Limit: Candidate age must be between 18 to 30 years as on 1st July 2022.
Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.
- SC, ST (P) and ST(H): 5 years
- OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
Educational Qualification: Candidates must be H.S.L.C or equivalent from a recognized Board or Council.
Physical Fitness:
i) Must have sound health both mentally and physically and free from organic defect or bodily infirmity likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duty.

Physical Eligibility for Assam Excise Department Recruitment 2023
Physical Fitness:
i) Must have sound health both mentally and physically and free from organic defect or bodily infirmity likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duty.
ii) Must undergo Medical Examination before appointment to the service.
MEDICAL STANDARDS:
I. General: Candidates must not have squint eyes, and should possess high color vision. Varicose veins shall be considered a temporary disqualification. He/ She must be in good mental and physical health. He / She must be free from any physical deformities and free from diseases such as diabetes, hernia, piles, respiratory diseases or any other ailment that is likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties.
ll. Eye Sight: The distant vision should be 6/6 for at least one eye and not poorer than 6/9 for the other without correction. Near vision should be normal.
