Forest Department Recruitment Details:

1. Forester-I
No of posts: 5

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from any recognized University or equivalent.

Pay: Rs.14,000-60,500/- + Grade Pay Rs 6400/-

2. Forest Guard
No of posts: 10

Educational Qualification: HSSLC (10+2) or equivalent from any recognised Board/ Council.

Pay: Rs.14,000-60,500/- + Grade Pay Rs 5600/-

3. Jr. Assistant
No of posts: 3

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from Any recognised University or Equivalent. Computer skill for handling data and text on computer & English Drafting

Pay: Rs.14,000-60,500/- + Grade Pay Rs 6200/-

4. Office Peon
No of posts: 2

Educational Qualification: VIII Pass

Pay: Rs 12.000-52000/- + Grade Pay Rs 3900/-

5. Chowkidar
No of posts: 1

Educational Qualification: VIII Pass

Pay: Rs 12.000-52.000/- + Grade Pay Rs 3900/-

Age: 18 — 40 years as on 01-09-2020. Relaxation up to 5 yrs in case of ST/SC candidates, 3 years in case of OBC/MOBC,2 years in respect of ex-servicemen and 10 yrs i.e. upto 50 yrs in respect of Persons with Disabilities.

Selection Process :

Forester-I & Forest Guards:

– Written Test for 2 hrs: (a) General Arithmetic (b) General English (c) General Knowledge

– Physical Fitness Test: Comprising 26 kms (for male) and 16 kms (for female) of walking to be covered within 4 hours Followed by Medical Test.

– The qualified candidates for the posts of Grade — III will have to appear the Oral Test.

Junior Assistant:

– Written Test for 2 hrs: General Arithmetic (b) General English (c) General Knowledge.

– Qualifying candidates of the written test will have to appear Computer typing and English Drafting Test.

Peon, Chowkidar: The Selection test shall comprise Oral Test only.

Application in Standard Form prescribed in Part-IX of Assam Gazette affixing Council Court Fee Stamp worth Rs.10/- with two recent passport size photographs and photocopies of Age Proof Certificate, Caste Certificate, Educational Qualification Certificates, Mark Sheets etc of HSLC/ HSSLC/ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent onward and other relevant documents with self-attested must be submitted in the O/o Divisional Forest Officers : 

(a) Dima Hasao Forest Division (West), Haflong or 

(b) Dima Hasao Forest Division (East), Haflong or 

(c) Southern Afforestation Division, Sarkari Bagan, Haflong 

on or before 21st September 2020 within the office hours.
