The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has launched a platform called the “Darpan”, basically an online web portal for Assam Higher Secondary Online Admission. The HS admission process is to be started on 7th June 2022. Students who have passed the HSLC exam this year may apply online through this web portal for first-year courses under Assam Higher Secondary Education Council for the academic session 2022-2023.

Assam HS Admission 2022 for Higher Secondary 1st year classes will be completed through “Darpan”, the common portal for online HS admission, to be available on AHSEC’s official website http://www.ahsec.assam.gov.in.
The principals of colleges, HS schools, and senior secondary schools, willing to avail of this facility, can register for the same in online mode.
For participation in the process, Institutions with valid AHSEC codes have to create their profiles by providing their Institutions’ details into the portal by visiting www.darpan.ahseconline.in or www.ahsec.assam.gov.in.
How to Apply for Assam HS 1st Year Admission?
Students who want to get admission into the Higher Secondary 1st year courses in different Institutions including Universities/ Degree Colleges/ Senior Secondary Schools/ Higher Secondary Schools under the AHSEC must apply online. They may follow the given steps to submit their applications online.
Step 1: Scroll down to the Important Link section.
Step 2: Click on HS 1st Year Online Admission link.
Step 3: A portal will load, click on Register a New Account link.
Step 4: Next you need to enter your personal and educational details as required by the portal.
Step 5: Upload scan copy of passport size photograph and 10th mark sheet.
Step 6: Next choose a 4-digit Login PIN and click on the register button.
Step 7: Next again click on the HS 1st Year Online Admission link and log in again.
Step 8: Select your desired course and colleges/ schools. You may choose a maximum of five institutions in order of their preference for admission.
Step 9: At the end, click on submit button and take a print of the submitted form for future reference.
Step 10: Please do check the portal regularly for updates. You will be notified through the portal which institution(s) you have been selected for admission.

Assam HS 1st Year Admission Merit List
The category-wise Assam HS Admission 2022 Merit List will be available on the Darpan portal itself. The merit list will be published by the concerned institutions.
Accordingly, the seat allotment will be available online for all students and they have to get admitted to their desired or allotted institution/ colleges within the stipulated time frame.
The merit list is going to be published after the completion of the online application process. Students will have to select the school or college of their choice within the stipulated time by visiting the Darpan portal.
How to Check AHSEC Admission Merit List?
Students who submitted their online applications for admission in to Higher Secondary 1st year under Assam Higher Secondary Education Council will be able to check their admission merit list in due course of time. The merit list will be prepared by the colleges and schools on the basis of their performance in the HSLC/ AHM examination. # A new webpage will load – enter your Mobile Number, Date of Birth, and Security PIN, and click Login.
# Darpan portal dashboard will be opened. Click on the Application Submitted button.
# It will display the list of names of all of your submitted applications for colleges/schools.
# Against the name of each school/ college, you will get the details about your admission request.
# If you are shortlisted in the merit list, click on the Accept Admission Request link and accept your admission to the desired college/school.
