1. Name of post : Scientist ‘D’
Number of posts : 11
Pay: Pay Level 12 (Rs.78800-209200)

2. Name of post : Scientist ‘E’
Number of posts: 30
Pay: Pay Level 13 (Rs.123100-215900)

3. Name of post : Scientist ‘F’
Number of posts: 1
Pay: Pay Level 13A (Rs.131100-216600)

Education Qualification :

1. For Scientist ‘D’ posts :

(i) Post graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) with five year R&D/teaching experience or Postgraduate diploma in medical subjects with six years R&D/teaching experience in the required subject from recognized university
Or
MBBS degree recognized by MCI or equivalent degree from recognized University with 8 years R&D/Teaching experience in the relevant subject after MBBS Degree
Or
BDS/B.V.Sc & AH degree recognized by DCI/VCI with 9 years R&D/Teaching experience in the relevant subject after BDS/B.V.Sc Degree
Or
B.Tech degree in relevant Engineering subject with ten years R&D/Teaching experience after B.Tech degree
Or
First class Master’s degree in the relevant subjects from a recognized university with 8 years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after 1st Class Master’s Degree.
Or
Second class M.Sc + Ph.D degree in the relevant subject from a recognized University with 8 years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after M.Sc + Ph.D.

(ii) Out of above 2 years in a managerial position to handle R&D projects in a team effectively in a directing capacity

2. For Scientist ‘E’ posts :

(i) Post graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) with seven year R&D/ teaching experience or Postgraduate diploma in medical subjects with eight years R&D/teaching experience in the required subject from recognized university
Or
MBBS degree recognized by MCI or equivalent degree from recognized University with 10 years R&D/Teaching experience in the required subject after MBBS Degree
Or
BDS/B.V.Sc & AH degree recognized by DCI/VCI with 11 years R&D/Teaching experience with the relevant subject after BDS/M.V.Sc Degree
Or
B.Tech degree in relevant Engineering subject with twelve years R&D/Teaching experience in the relevant subject after B.Tech degree
Or
First class Master’s degree in the relevant subjects from a recognized university with 10 years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after 1st Class Master’s Degree.
Or
Second class M.Sc + Ph.D degree in the relevant subject from a recognized University with 10 years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after M.Sc + Ph.D.

(ii) Out of above 3 years in a managerial position to handle R&D projects in a team effectively in a directing capacity

3. For Scientist ‘F’ posts :

(i) Post graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) with nine years R&D/teaching experience or Postgraduate diploma in medical subjects with eight years R&D/teaching experience in the required subject from recognized university

MBBS degree recognized by MCI or equivalent degree from recognized University with 12 years R&D/Teaching experience in the required subject after MBBS Degree
Or
BDS/B.V.Sc & AH degree recognized by DCI/VCI with 13 years R&D/Teaching experience with the relevant subject after BDS/M.V.Sc Degree
Or
B.Tech degree in relevant Engineering subject with 14 years R&D/Teaching experience in the relevant subject after B.Tech degree
Or
First class Master’s degree in the relevant subjects from a recognized university with 12 years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after 1st Class Master’s Degree.
Or
Second class M.Sc + Ph.D degree in the relevant subject from a recognized University with 12 years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after M.Sc + Ph.D.

Candidate have submit application form along with –

(i) Examination fee of Rs. 500/- by means of Demand Draft in favour of Director General, ICMR, New Delhi, wherever applicable.

(ii) Copy of Matriculation/10th Standard or equivalent certificate/Mark-sheet, issued by Central/State Board, indicating Date of Birth in support of claim of age. Date of Birth Certificate, issued by appropriate authority, in case where date of birth is not available in Matriculation/ 10th Standard or equivalent certificate/mark sheets.

(iii) Degree certificate as proof of educational qualifications claimed. In the absence of Degree certificate, provisional certificate along with mark sheets.

(iv) Certificate(s) of experience should clearly mention the designation, duration (date, month & year), the basic pay and/or consolidated salary, and the nature of duties performed and experience obtained in the employment.

(v) Applications from employees working in Central/State Govt. Departments/ Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Organization and Govt. funded research agencies must be forwarded through proper channel. Advance copies of application will also be considered subject to the conditions that a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer is produced at the time of personal discussion/ interview.
