Eligibility Criteria: Educational qualifications and selection will be as per Assam Government’s guidelines vide O.M. No. AHE. 407/2017/54 dated 25.11.2020.
* Candidates must secure at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale ) at the Master Degree level in the relevant subject and must have cleared NET / SLET / SET conducted by the UGC / CSIR.
* Candidates who were awarded Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulation 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET / SET / SLET. A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided for SC / ST / PWD candidates. A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided to PhD holders who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19.09.1991.
Pay: UGC scale of pay and other allowances as per rule.
Age: The age of the candidate should not be more than 38 years as of 01.01.2020 with a relaxation of 5 (five) years for SC/ST/PWD candidates and 3 (three) years for OBC/MOBC candidates.
