Eligibility Criteria of Pollution Control Board Recruitment

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian Citizens and permanent residents of Assam.

Age Limit: The Candidate should not be more than 38 years and less than 18 years of age as on 1st January 2023 (Candidate must be born on or before 01-01-2005 and on or after 01-01-1985) subject to Govt. notification from time to time. 

Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable subject to Govt. notification from time to time as under:

• 5 (five) years in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST (P) & ST (H).
• 3 (three) years in case of candidates belonging to OBC/MOBC.

Educational Qualification:

i) Assistant Engineer (AE): B.E., B. Tech./AMIE in Chemical / Civil / Environmental/ Mechanical Engineering from a Government recognized University / Institute.

ii) Environmental Scientist: M.Sc. in Chemical/ Biological/ Life/ Environmental Science from a Government recognized University / Institute.

iii) Scientific Assistant-III: Minimum HSSLC level with Chemistry/ Biology from a Government recognized Institute.

iv) Assistant Programmer: B.Sc. (IT/Comp. Sc), BCA, B.Sc. with DOEACC ‘A’ Level/ PGDCA from a Government recognized University / Institute.

v) Assistant Planning and Research Officer: Master degree in Geography/ Economics/ Statistics/ Mass Communication from a Government recognized University / Institute. Reading and writing skills in Assamese are preferable.

vi) Junior Accountant (JA): B. Com/ BBA from a recognized University with minimum 6 Months Certificate/ Diploma in Computer Applications. Candidates having M.Com degree shall be preferred.

vii) Administrative Assistant — II (AA-II): Graduate in Any Discipline with minimum 6 Months Certificate/Diploma in Computer Applications.

viii) Grade IV: Class X/ HSLC passed from a Government recognized Institute.

Selection Process of Pollution Control Board Assam Recruitment 

• There will be two phases of Tests (i) Written Test and (ii) Personal Interview / Viva-voce for all the above-mentioned posts.
• Candidates whose applications are found correct in all respects will be called for a Written Test. The candidates will have to appear for the Written Test in the venue mentioned in his/her Admit Card.
• Candidates who appeared in the written test Will be called for the VIVA-VOCE/PERSONAL INTERVIEW on the basis of merit in the ratio of 1:4 wherein original documents/testimonials of the candidates shall be verified.
• Merit list shall be prepared for each cadre of posts category wise i.e. Unreserved, OBC/MOBC, SC, ST(P), ST(H), etc. separately as per vacancies for different posts.

The Candidates having the required essential qualification for the posts, as mentioned above, may apply for more than one post by submitting their first preference, second preference, etc.

Documents Required Upload:

Candidates will be required to upload scanned copies of the following: –

a) Passport size Photograph: –

Good quality colored and distinct recent photograph (with white or very light background) in a JPEG format with the maximum file size of 100 kb (kilo bytes) but not less than 50 kb. Please note that the photograph uploaded will be printed on the admit card for the exam.

b) Signature: –

A scanned signature, with black or dark blue ink on white paper, shall be uploaded in JPEG image with a maximum file size is 100 kb.

c) Self-attested Documents: – All documents should be uploaded in PDF Format with a maximum file size of 500 kb.

i) Certificate of proof of Age (Admit card or Pass certificate of HSLC or equivalent examination).

ii) Certificate/Mark sheet of all examinations from HSLC onwards up to the level of qualifying examination.

iii) Minimum 6 (Six) months basic computer certificate/diploma course certificate for the post of Junior Accountant and Administrative Assistant-II.

iv) Certificate of Caste.

v) Voter-ID Card/Aadhaar card.

vi) Certificate from the competent authority in case of differently able candidates.
