The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam has published the official notification regarding the Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) 2023. Intending and eligible candidates may apply online here for admission into Diploma Courses in the following State Government Polytechnics of Assam and Polytechnics outside Assam (against seat allotted by the Govt. of India) for the session 2023–2024.

Name of the test: Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) 2023
Academic session: 2023–2024
Test to be conducted by: Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam
Test centers: State Govt. Engineering Colleges, State Polytechnics, and at Tezpur, Mangaldai.
Date of test: 11th or 18th or 25th June 2023 (Sunday)
Time of test: 10 AM to 12 Noon (2 Hours)
Type of questions: Multiple choice questions (MCQs)
Eligibility Criteria of Polytechnic Admission Test
Resident-ship: Candidate/s must be a permanent citizen of Assam.
Educational Qualification: Candidate must pass the H.S.L.C. or its equivalent examination in a single sitting with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects. Candidates also must have passed individually in both Theory and Practical examinations in Mathematics and Science.
The required minimum average percentage in Mathematics and Science is as mentioned below.

Age Limit:
The category-wise maximum age limit as on 31st December 2023 is as given below.

Application Fee of PAT
Application Fee: The application fee of PAT 2022 is Rs 500/- plus bank charges as applicable.
Payment Mode:
Online: Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.
Offline: Through Cash Deposit form from State Bank collected in the final step of Online Application.

Intending and eligible candidates who are permanent citizens of Assam may follow the below-mentioned steps to apply online for the Polytechnic Admission Test for admission into Diploma Courses in the following State Government Polytechnics of Assam for the session 2023-2024.
Step 1: Go to the Important Links of Polytechnic Admission Test section.
Step 2: Click on the Online Application Form link.
Step 3: Official PAT Application Portal will be opened.
Step 4: Register with all your credentials and pay the Application Fee.
Step 5: At the end, submit the online application.
