The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Assam has published an official notification regarding Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) Admission 2022. SCERT has invited online applications from the eligible candidates for the Pre-Entry Test (PET)-2022 of Diploma in Elementary Education. Interested candidates may apply online.

Name of Exam: Pre-Entry Test (PET) 2022

Name of Course: Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)

Name of Batch: 2022-2024

Tenure of Course: 2 Years

Name of Council: State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT)

Date of Exam: The PET will be held on 29th May 2022 (Sunday).

Eligibility Criteria for D.El.Ed Admission

Educational Qualification: The applicant must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination from recognised Boards/Councils with at least 50% marks in aggregate excluding marks secured in extra optional. (For candidates belonging to SC/ST category there will be relaxation of 5% of marks in aggregate).

Age Limit: The applicant must not be less than 18 years and not more than 34 years as on 1st July 2022. There will be relaxation by 2 years for candidates belonging to SC, ST (P) and ST (H) categories.

Reservation: Reservation of seats for the candidates belonging to reserved categories including OBC/MOBC, SC, ST(P), ST(H), Person with Disability (PWD) will be as per Reservation Policy.

Application Fee: Rs.600.00 (Rupees Six Hundred Only) for all categories to be paid online (Internet Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Wallet).

Admit Card: Candidates will be able to download their Admit Cards from SCERT Assam D.El.Ed PET Admit Card or the official website of SCERT from 20th May 2022 by entering their Registration Number and Date of Birth generated during online submission of application.

Pre-Entry Test (PET) & Venue: The venue for the Pre-Entry Test (PET) will be the DIET/HS School of a District. However, depending upon the number of candidates the Pre-Entry Test may be held in a nearby schools/colleges etc. The venue for the Pre Entry Test will be indicated in the Admit Card of the candidates.

How to Apply for Assam D.El.Ed Admission?

Interested and Eligible Candidates as per the official notification want to take admission need to follow the provided steps to complete their application. Only candidates who are eligible as per official notification are able to submit their applications through the online portal of SCERT. Candidates can follow the following steps to complete their application process.

  • Scroll down, check the Important Link‘s section.
  • Click on the Online Application Link.
  • After that an official portal of SCERT, Assam will be loaded.
  • Inside that portal, you have to complete your application process by entering all the asked details.
  • After entering the details, you will have to upload the scanned files required to complete the process.
  • After uploading, you will have to pay your application fee according to your category.
  • After payment, your application for admission to D.El.Ed will be submitted.
  • You will need to take a printout of your acknowledgment copy of the application for future reference.

Syllabus of D.El.Ed Pre-Entry Test

The State Educational Research and Training Council will conduct an examination to select meritorious candidates for admission to the two-year diploma in elementary education. In this section, we have provided the syllabus of this PET exam for the ease of our website users and the candidates for this exam.

The test will have two sections, Section-I and Section-II. The question pattern and marking according to these sections will be as follows.

Total Marks: 100 Marks

Total Time: 2 Hours

Type of Question: Multiple Choice Question (MCQs)

Number of Questions: 100 Questions

Negative Marking: For every incorrect answer, 0.25 mark shall be deducted from the total marks secured by the candidate. More than one answer given to a question will be treated as incorrect answer.
